Donato Retrospective

Richmond, VA- The Anderson Gallery, Virginia Commonwealth University’s Museum of
the Arts, is pleased to announce the Winter 2007 Exhibition: Gerald Donato: Reinventing
the Game, which is curated by Amy Moorefield, Assistant Director and Curator of
Collections at VCUarts Anderson Gallery. This exhibition will open on January 26, 2007
with a reception from 7 until 9 pm and will be on view at VCUarts Anderson Gallery until
March 4, 2007.

i only took one photo of the other studios. this one is sculpture, it is set in a larger area with 3 others. most of the studios are in one general area with a bunch in the center of this large room and the rest lining the walls of the room. there are project spaces that can be used temporarily and some are actual studios a bit separated from the other kids.
film, video, new media studios are smaller (sculpy being the biggest overall) and they are floorwise with performance students and writing students. so alot of those writing studios had obviously nothing in them. here again there are very large performance spaces that can be used. some of the performance studios are nearly as large as the painting studios. So from largest to smallest it goes like this; Sculpt to Paint to Perform and Film being the smallest.
