Does VCU have a 'school style'? There seem to be some common elements to a lot of the paintings you give that tag to--centralized composition, large, commanding forms, playful color and brushwork. And I'd describe Eric Sall's work similarly. It's not a bad thing. I'm just curious. It might help to have a context to approach these works. I went to a school (nameless) that definitely has a 'school style'.
No.
I just hand out that tag randomly, it really means nothing. Can't believe your school didn't have a name. Joe McSpadden, the playful color is on the edges fyi.
